Getting started

Do I need to pay anything to start?

No. DoctoMoris is free for doctors until 31 December 2026. No credit card required. You can register, complete your profile, and start receiving patient bookings at no cost. Standard subscription pricing applies from January 2027.

How do I register as a doctor on DoctoMoris?

Click "Create doctor account" and complete the registration form with your name, email, and password. Once registered, you'll complete your professional profile (specialties, bio, fees, location) before submitting for verification.

How long does the verification process take?

Our team reviews applications within 1–2 business days. You will receive an email notification when your profile is approved or if we need additional information.

How is my application verified?

Applications are reviewed before activation. Verification is completed against the official registration record (Medical Council of Mauritius Register). This supports platform trust and does not imply endorsement by any regulator.

What credentials do I need to provide?

You will need to upload proof of your medical license and any relevant specialist qualifications during the onboarding process. These are kept confidential and used only for verification.

Do I need to request a demo before I can register?

No. You can create your doctor account directly at /register/doctor — no prior call or demo needed. Complete your profile, upload your credentials, and submit for verification. If you prefer a guided walkthrough first, request one from the Need Help page.

What happens immediately after I register?

After registering, you are guided through a profile setup flow: specialty, bio, fees, consultation types, practice location, and credential documents. Our team then reviews your application — typically within 1–2 business days — and activates your profile.

Can I update my profile or fees after my account goes live?

Yes. Your bio, fees, available consultation types, and clinic information can be updated at any time from your dashboard. Changes are reflected immediately on your public profile.

Scheduling & availability

How do I manage my availability?

In your doctor dashboard, go to the "Availability" section. You can set weekly recurring availability windows by day (e.g. Monday 9am–1pm for in-person consultations) and block off specific holidays.

Can I set different availability for in-person and video consultations?

Yes. When adding an availability rule, you select the consultation type: in-person, video, or both. You can have separate time windows for each type.

Can I block off holidays or days off?

Yes. Use the Holiday Manager in your dashboard to add date ranges when you are unavailable. Patients will not be able to book during blocked periods.

What happens to existing bookings if I update my availability?

Existing confirmed appointments are not affected when you change your availability. Only new booking slots are recalculated based on your updated schedule.

Payments & billing

How do I get paid for in-person consultations?

Payment for in-person consultations is settled directly between you and the patient at the doctor’s office. DoctoMoris does not process in-person payments — you set your own fee and collect it however you prefer.

How does the video consultation commission work?

DoctoMoris charges a 5% platform commission on video consultations. This is deducted from your monthly invoice. You keep the rest. In-person consultations carry no commission.

How are invoices generated?

DoctoMoris generates a monthly invoice covering your subscription fee and any video commission charges. You upload your payment proof directly from your dashboard, and our team validates it.

Can I see all my invoices?

Yes. Your full invoice history is available in your doctor dashboard under the Invoices section.

Is DoctoMoris free to use right now?

Yes. The platform is free for all doctors until 31 December 2026. No credit card is required, and all plans are fully unlocked during this period. Standard subscription pricing applies from January 2027.

Do I need to provide payment details to register?

No. You can register, complete your profile, and start receiving patient bookings without providing any payment details. Billing will not apply until the free period ends in December 2026.

Platform & account

Can I update my profile after it is approved?

Yes. You can update your bio, specialties, fees, address, and languages at any time from your dashboard. Changes are reflected immediately on your public profile.

What happens if I want to pause or close my account?

Contact our support team at support@doctomoris.com and we will help you pause your profile or close your account. Existing appointments will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

Is patient data secure?

Designed with data-handling principles aligned with the Data Protection Act 2017 of Mauritius. Patient information is available only where needed for the service, and where appointment document sharing is enabled, files are stored privately, admin cannot access file content, and shared files are automatically deleted 14 days after appointment completion.

How does appointment document sharing work?

Patients and doctors can share consultation-related PDF or JPG files only inside the relevant appointment. The feature is time-limited, not a permanent storage system, and should not be used for emergencies. Files are automatically deleted 14 days after the appointment is marked completed, and DoctoMoris does not verify the medical accuracy of uploaded documents.

Do I need to install any software to use DoctoMoris?

No. The doctor dashboard, appointment management tools, and video consultation tools all run in your browser. No app or plugin is required — for you or for your patients.
